Small additions to my collections

I happened to bring home some smaller models to add to my collection at the liveshow I attended in May.

The first one was a Mystery Foal Surprise set that I won in the lottery. I mostly chose it because I liked the colour of the paint mare and because I have a thing for model horse suprises :)

I will show pictures of the foal below so if you don't want to see what the mystery foal looks like I advise you to stop reading right now.

If you are still reading here is the first picture of the set, before I opened it.

It contained the G3 Stockhorse mare in a bay roan overo and the G3 Paso in buckskin.

Yay, it's a baby boy! It looks like he inherited the buckskin colour from his father and the overo pattern from his mother.

They make a nice little family even in my crappy picture.

The colour of the stallion is very nice, he is not in perfect condition because he has some small specks of paint that doesn't quite match the rest of his body colour on the shoulders. But I like him. He kind of remind me of the traditional Causin' A Commotion.

The paint of the mare was almost perfect, a really, really nice roan overo. The only imperfections was a few black marks in her shoulder area of the white overo mark (can be seen in my picture below). I think they're from the stallion's mane scratching her in the packaging (although no evidence of it is found on the stallion). Fortunately I'm confident they will go away with a careful bath and scrubbing.

I'm normally not a fan of this mold but in this colour, she's hard to resist.

When it comes to the foal, I think he is really cute and will look great alongside Adonis D (my palomino tobiano on the same mold).

When it comes to the paint job it is good except for a slight miss in the masking on his overo marking on his offside neck. It's not something that bothers me as I haven't planned to liveshow him and as for photoshowing I can't see any problems.

Another horse that followed me home was this G2 Warmblood. He has a really nice colour and he does stand perfect (I just put him laying down on the table as it made it easier to take a picture in the strange light).

This totally adorable little donkey foal is from CollectA and even though she has a nice enough colour I have some loose plans on repainting her.

She's just adorable, isn't she?

The last one to be presented among my new additions is this scrambling little foal. Her colour is probably the best blue roan paint job I've ever seen on an OF stablemate.

And she has the cutest little face and that blaze is like the icing on the cake.

I actually haven't named any of them so any name and breed suggestions is greatly appreciated :)

  1. For the SM OF Blue Roan foal, how about "Blue Moon"? If you haven't named him yet that is :)
